January 14th, 2011 · No Comments

We live in a city of givers with generous hearts and Jacksonville Magazine has the proof.

The magazine’s staff celebrated Northeast Florida’s community-minded businesses at its Companies That Care luncheon yesterday. The special event was hosted downtown at the Omni Jacksonville Hotel.

For the past nine years, Jacksonville Magazine has recognized 30 companies annually for their charitable activities and donations. This year’s honorees have been involved in a wide variety of philanthropic endeavors, donating money and volunteering at nonprofit, civic and community organizations that serve a variety of needs in the Jacksonville community.

The 2011  Companies That Care list includes Adecco Group, Baptist Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Burdette Ketchum, CSX Corporation, Clockwork Marketing Services, Community First Credit Union, Crowley Maritime Corporation, Deutsche Bank, Fidelity Investments, Financial Design Associates, Foundation Financial Group, Haskell, In Motion Physical Therapy, The Kurtis Group, Landsouth Construction, The Main Street America Group, Memorial Hospital, Native Sun Natural Foods Market, Omni Jacksonville Hotel, PSS World Medical, Paul Mitchell The School, Prosperity Bank, Prudential Financial, Rogers Towers, P.A., St. Vincent Healthcare, UBS Financial Services, UF & Shands Jacksonville, Vystar Credit Union, and Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company.

As part of the luncheon, Jacksonville Magazine also recognized its beneficiary and nonprofit partner in 2011, The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation.

Join us in applauding these community leaders and their continued efforts to make Jacksonville a better place to live!
