New Homebuilder Hits Jacksonville Market with Bold Marketing Campaign

July 31st, 2009 · 1 Comment

It’s official – Jacksonville has a new homebuilder in town!

Seasoned homebuilding executive Richard J. Dalton just announced the opening of Wellington Homes, a new Jacksonville, Fla.-based homebuilding company. Dalton is well-known for his leadership skills at companies such as Taylor Morrison and Pulte Homes, but many know him for his charitable giving and philanthropic endeavors. It’s no surprise then that Dalton is launching his new company as title sponsor to one of Jacksonville’s most well-known charity events – the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Tango by Moonlight.

“I am excited beyond belief to introduce Wellington Homes to the Northeast Florida market and build well-priced, quality constructed homes for a diverse range of homebuyers,” Dalton said. “When we founded the company, I wanted to introduce it in an innovative way and connect not only with homebuyers but the Jacksonville community at large. That’s why we have decided to announce the company by title sponsoring a charitable event that is very close to my heart.”

Dalton has signed on as the title sponsor of Tango by Moonlight, formally known as Moonlight Martinis, which will take place Nov. 7 at The Carling in downtown Jacksonville. Dalton has long been a supporter of the foundation and believes sponsoring the event is an innovative and charitable way to introduce Wellington Homes.

Dalton founded Wellington Homes after a celebrated career with some of the nation’s leading homebuilders. Prior to founding the new company, Dalton served as the division president for Taylor Morrison North Florida and the vice president of operations for the Jacksonville division of Pulte Homes Corporation. Dalton has teamed with former colleague Dale Dubberly and named him the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Wellington Homes. Dubberly worked with Dalton at Taylor Morrison and Pulte Homes Corporation as the vice president of construction for both companies’ North Florida divisions.

We cannot thank Rick enough for all he has done, and is continuing to do, to further our mission of curing cystic fibrosis. We are honored to have his support at this important time and know that the same passion and personal creed he brings to his volunteer efforts, will help ensure Wellington Homes is a great success! Thanks Rick for all you do and for being the kind of person who understands the importance of giving back!
