Amelia Walk Marks New Era of Green, Gracious Living in Fernandina Beach

December 2nd, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Like the balance that exists in nature, GreenPointe Homes is combining luxury and style with environmental sensitivity and energy efficiency in the new homes it is now offering at the Amelia Walk community in Fernandina Beach.

Amelia Walk is a master-planned, single-family community in Nassau County that also offers great amenities and convenient access to beaches, shopping, dining and recreation.

GreenPointe Homes, the homebuilding division of GreenPointe Holdings, has undertaken the building of a community that respects both prospective buyers’ need for comfort and elegance – and the environment. It’s often a challenging balancing act for builders, but GreenPointe Homes accomplishes it by utilizing its Intelligent Green Program.

Homes at Amelia Walk, which start in the low $200,000s, are each built to exceed the Florida Model Energy Code, with features such as Low-E windows, radiant barrier roof sheathing, advanced framing techniques and water-saving dishwashers, toilets and plumbing.

“As a builder in today’s world, it is our responsibility to give homebuyers a chance to live in an elegant home that is also energy-efficient and built in an environmentally responsible manner,” said Roger Postlethwaite, president of GreenPointe Homes. “Amelia Walk residents also have the added benefit of living in a beautiful, natural setting close to where they shop and play.”

The community, which is located along Amelia Concourse, off State Road A1A,  features a beautiful entrance with a residents’ clubhouse, large pool and sundeck, a fitness center, tennis courts, children’s playground, large playfield and a lake and gazebo. There are several gathering places for get-togethers, family outings and celebrations.

Homes come in a variety of floor plans, from about 2,100 square feet to more than 3,200 square feet, and feature state-of-the-art kitchens, Colonial wood trim, crown and wainscoting moldings, raised six-panel Colonial doors and satin nickel hardware and lighting fixtures throughout. Designer landscaping includes St. Augustine sod and custom irrigation, and homes come with 30-year fungus-resistant architectural roof shingles.

Other attractive elements of these uniquely built homes include:

  • Selection among unique architectural styles. Available styles of home include the Victorian, Georgian, Colonial Revival and Craftsman.
  • Two-car garages. Builders also provide an option for three-car garages.
  • Well-appointed owner and guest baths. Deluxe showers in owner’s suites are equipped with three showerheads, including a rain head and hand-held.
  • Classic kitchens. Each kitchen contains granite countertops, GE appliances, Moet faucets and designer wood Aristokraft cabinets.

There are one- and two-story design styles of GreenPointe Homes’ residences in Amelia Walk, with options for three- to six-bedroom floor plans.

The community is open for home sales and GreenPointe Homes builders are constructing a beautiful model that will be open in January.
