Are you sad to see 2010 go or are you wishing it good riddance? Either way, downtown Jacksonville is the place to be while you’re doing it! Here are a couple events going on downtown for those of you who don’t have plans yet:
- Kick off the new decade with jazz, gin and a fringed flapper dress! MOCA Jacksonville invites you to join them at their Contemporaries’ 333 NYE: Feel Sexy, Speakeasy from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Admission for Contemporaries is $65/person or $111/couple and for non-members $80.person and $150/couple.
- Bay Street is lighting up the night with a rockin’ New Year’s Eve party at Mark’s Downtown and Divebar beginning at 8 p.m. This Downtown tradition is one of the best parties to be found for ringing in the new year.
- Enjoy all you can drink and a champagne toast at midnight at Ivey Ultra Bar for $65. Formal attire is required and there will be a professional photographer on site.
- Join the Jacksonville Symphony at the Times Union Center for the Performing Arts beginning at 8 p.m. for an evening of Jazz, dancing, champagne toasts and a stunning view of the fireworks at midnight. Don’t miss this Toast to the New Year!
- Jacksonville’s 3rd Annual New Year’s Eve at MOSH – Ring in the new year with a live DJ, open bars, a laser concert in the all new planetarium, games and light food.
