Corey Deal Leaving NEFBA

June 17th, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Some bittersweet news out of the Northeast Florida Builders Association this week. Corey Deal, who joined NEFBA in August 2013 as executive director, has been named executive director for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.

NEFBA Executive Committee President Lee Arsenault made the announcement on Tuesday to NEFBA members.

In August 2013, then NEFBA President Dennis Ginder proudly announced that Corey Deal had accepted our offer to become our executive director. Now, four years later, it has fallen to me to announce on behalf of the Executive Committee that Corey has accepted the position of executive director for the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association

A Georgia native and graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, Corey and his family will be returning to home ground to share his considerable talent, education and experience with the Atlanta association. He will be with us through the end of July.

Corey created his own unique legacy of leadership, growth and relationship building. We have all benefitted from his tenure as executive director. Our association has grown and our reach has been extended as Corey represented us in state and national arenas as well as in Northeast Florida.

I’m confident NEFBA will continue to move forward and thrive. NEFBA’s strength lies in the depth of talent and expertise in its membership, staff and leaders.

A search for our next executive director is already in motion. Until we find the perfect fit, we are counting on you to carry on the traditions of our association that have insured our success for 73 years. NEFBA is growing and strong and relevant. That won’t change.

Please join me in wishing Corey much success in his new endeavor. We look forward to seeing him at national events and he will always be welcome at NEFBA.
