Downtown Galleries Feed Imaginations with Off the Grid Lunches

This Thursday, June 17, and next Thursday, June 24, downtown workers and visitors can go Off the Grid for lunch at a number of participating art galleries from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Off the Grid is a program that has partnered with more than a dozen downtown restaurants to offer lunchtime deals for patrons of the galleries.

A coupon with the restaurant deals can be picked up at any of the participating gallery spaces, which include:

  • Southlight Gallery, 100 N. Laura St.
  • Suite 106 Gallery, The Jacksonville Landing, 2 Independent Dr.
  • The Adrian Pickett Gallery, The Jacksonville Landing, 2 Independent Dr.
  • The Art Center Cooperative, 31 W. Adams St.
  • The Bee Gallery, 2 Independent Dr.
  • The Letter Shop, 228 E. Forsyth St.
  • The Next Gallery, 203 N. Laura St.

Off the Grid is a partnership between Downtown Vision, Inc. (DVI) and the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville and was inspired by artist Jim Draper. Off the Grid facilitates introductions between Jacksonville artists and downtown property owners in an effort to activate vacant spaces in the urban core with artistic energy and provide artists with much needed work and exhibition space.
