Downtown Vision Hosts Forum for City Council Candidates

Downtown Jacksonville is getting a lot of attention this election cycle! Tomorrow, Downtown Vision, Inc., in conjunction with residents of downtown, will present Downtown Turnaround, A City Council Candidate Forum Under the Stars. The event is sponsored by MOSH (Museum of Science and History),  Zodiac Bar & Grill and The Grotto and will feature a candid forum with the Jacksonville City Council candidates on what they would do to address the issues facing downtown.  The forum will be hosted at the Bryan Gooding Planetarium at MOSH from 6 to 8 p.m. and moderated by WJXT/TV 4 Meteorologist, Rebecca Barry.

City Council candidates confirmed to attend include:

  • Don Redman, District 4
  • Johnny Gaffney, District 7
  • Marc McCullough Sr., District 7
  • Warren Jones, District 9
  • Greg Anderson, At-Large Group 4
  • Juan Diaz, At-Large Group 4
  • Jim Robinson, At-Large Group 4
  • Fred Engness, At-Large Group 5
  • Sean Hall, At-Large Group 5
  • Robin Lumb, At-Large Group 5
  • Robin Rukab, At-Large Group 5
  • Michelle Tappouni, At-Large Group 5

The event requires an RSVP but is free and open to the public and hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.  Free parking is available in the MOSH parking lot located on Riverplace Boulevard.  The entrance is between the Main Street Bridge and the museum building.
