Girl Scouts of Gateway Council Kick Off Girl Scout Cookie Program Sunday

December 15th, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Football, fun and cookies.

Girl Scouts of Gateway Council will kick off the Girl Scout Cookie program season at Metropolitan Park on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. until noon, at Metropolitan Park. Girl Scout cookie sales will begin in January 2018.

Cookie Kickoff is Gateway Council’s signature family event featuring #cookiebiz programs, a family fun zone, entertainment and a picnic lunch before Girl Scouts and their families head over to EverBank Field to watch the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Houston Texans. The event will feature fun and activities for non-Girl Scouts, too.

The #cookiebiz activities are designed to equip Girl Scouts with all the tools and information they need to be the best #cookieboss they can be. The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps girls develop important life skills that will set them up for success: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. The Cookie Kickoff sponsors are Jacksonville Jaguars, Publix Charities, Wells Fargo, Jacksonville Icemen, and First Florida Credit Union.

Metropolitan Park is located at 1410 Gator Bowl Blvd. in Jacksonville.
