December 1st, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Are you looking for something to do tonight? Go downtown and experience Art Walk, one of Jacksonville’s fun opportunities to explore the urban core while supporting local artists! Art Walk runs from 5 – 9 p.m. and there will be more than 15 live music venues and hot spots open after 9 p.m. Street parking is free after 6 p.m. and the downtown garage on the corner of Adams and Clay offers free parking during Art Walk.

New to Art Walk? Start at Hemming Plaza and stop by the information kiosk at the corner of Monroe and Laura streets for an event flyer or download one ahead of time by clicking here. Event flyers will also be available at each participating venue and downtown ambassadors in orange shirts and will be available throughout downtown to give directions and answer questions.

Here are some of this month’s highlighted events:

  • The Carling – Enjoy a special equestrian exhibit hosted by The Northeast Florida Dressage Club
  • Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts – The Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra presents a free holiday concert from 7 – 8:15 p.m.
  • Gallery L – First and second floor galleries feature “Holiday Surprises,” works by some of Jacksonville’s top artists
  • AT&T Tower – Experience the Concurrency Exhibition accompanied by the Conservatory Community Band
  • TAC II – Featuring works from the “Cost of Freedom” juried art show and the “Guess Who?!” fundraiser
