Mark your calendars for Thursday, Jan. 24. That’s when the JAX Chamber will play ball, recognizing community business leaders and celebrating the region’s home runs of 2012 when it hosts its 128th Annual Meeting, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the home of the Jacksonville Suns, the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville in Downtown Jacksonville.

More than 1,000 Chamber members and guests are expected to attend the fun-filled, baseball-themed event, which will feature food, networking and the naming of the 2013 JAX Chamber Small Business Leader of the Year. The Chamber will also introduce the Chamber’s 2013 Board of Directors during the annual meeting. The 2013 Chamber Chair is Greg Smith of Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

The pre-game reception will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The program will take place from 7:30 to 8 p.m. and will be followed by a post-game reception from 8 to 9 p.m. Attire is business casual or wear your favorite Major League Baseball team jersey. The annual meeting is presented by PRI Productions.
