Leadership Jacksonville, an organization that develops youth and adult leaders in Northeast Florida, is accepting nominations for the adult Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2015. Leadership Jacksonville is a year-long program that brings community leaders together to learn about the First Coast, build relationships with other leaders and better serve as community trustees. The program will run August 2014 through May 2015 and includes two weekend retreats.

“Our Leadership Jacksonville program has been an invaluable experience for hundreds of community leaders, and we are seeking applicants from all facets of the community for our 2015 class,” said Jill Langford Dame, executive director of Leadership Jacksonville. “Participants in Leadership Jacksonville value the development of a network of meaningful relationships, the emphasis on community service and the awareness of the challenges and opportunities available on the First Coast. As they tell us, the program is life-changing and truly informs and shapes the leadership and future of this city.”

The selection for each year’s Leadership Jacksonville class is highly competitive. Criteria include demonstrated leadership skills, active community involvement and a willingness to invest the time and energy required by the program. Individuals may be nominated by Leadership Jacksonville alumni or by their employer, or they may self-nominate.
