The Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) honored Lee Arsenault as its 2016 Builder of the Year, a recognition awarded by over 7,800 FHBA members across the state. Selected by a council of industry leaders, the award encourages best practices, expertise and exceptional leadership qualities in a Florida builder.

The award, which is a respected tradition for more than 40 years, was presented during the FHBA Fall Leadership Conference.

Arsenault, aside from his commitment to building exceptional homes for clients, is dedicated to the betterment of his community. He serves on the Executive Board of Builders Care, a non-profit organization that provides affordable-to-no-cost construction services to the elderly, disabled, and other non-profits.

As a member of the federated builder organizations, the Northeast Florida Builders Association, FHBA, and the National Association of Home Builders, Arsenault focuses on improving the economic environment for the building industry in Florida. This year, specifically, he served as Chair of the FHBA Codes and Standards Committee, working with codes experts to ensure the Florida Building Code was the best it could be for homebuilders.

“In addition to his homebuilding commitments, Lee spent an incredible amount of time this year digesting amendments to the 6th edition of the Florida Building Code,” said Rusty Payton, FHBA CEO/Chief Lobbyist. “We express our sincerest gratitude to Lee for his work that in turn saves Florida homebuilders an average of over $7,000 for each new home construction. He is a true leader in the building industry and we applaud him.”
