Make a Scene Downtown with the Rocky Horror Picture Show!

Calling all Rocky Horror Picture Show enthusiasts! The City of Jacksonville presents the 35th anniversary of this cult classic at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts, Moran Theater on Friday, Oct. 22 at midnight. Prior to the show, a street festival will take place beginning at 8 p.m. on the Northbank Riverwalk directly behind the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. The festival will be complete with a Rocky Horror Tribute Band, a costume contest, food, beverages, activities and lots of fun. The costume contest will commence at 10:30 p.m. with a chance to win VIP seating a prizes and theater doors will open at 11 p.m.

The City of Jacksonville encourages all to “Say it!” with props. Movie fans can bring their own props or purchase props to participate in the evening of Rocky Horror fun complete with dialog call outs and audience participation with props!

Tickets and prop packages are on sale now and can be purchased online at www.MakeASceneDowntown.com or at the City of Jacksonville Office of Special Events, 117 W. Duval St. Suite 280, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets and prop packages sold in advance are only $10 and $5 respectively. Tickets and prop packages will be on sale at the door for $13 and $7 respectively starting at 7 p.m. but space is limited and is first come, first seated.
