The Monique Burr Foundation for Children will host its 17^th Annual Jinglebells Pro Am Golf Tournament, presented by AT&T and the Jacksonville Area Lexus Dealers, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at The Palencia Club. The tournament offers corporations and individuals the opportunity to golf for a good cause and tee off with some of your favorite professional golfers. Honorary chairs for this year’s tournament include golf legends Mark McCumber, Fred Funk and Jim Furyk.

“A number of influential business leaders from our community are expected to participate in this event, as well as some of the greatest players in the game today,” said Lynn Layton, executive director of the Monique Burr Foundation for Children.  “All proceeds from this event will benefit the Monique Burr Foundation for Children and its mission to provide bullying and child abuse prevention education throughout Florida. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m., followed by a cocktail reception and awards ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Throughout the day, several contests will take place including hole-in-one LEXUS car giveaways, a hole-in-one Rolex giveaway, lowest net, lowest gross, longest putt, longest drive and closest-to-the-pin competition.

Since the Jinglebells Pro-Am Golf Tournament began more than 16 years ago, it has raised more than $2.5 million for the Monique Burr Foundation for Children. Event sponsors include AT&T, The Jacksonville Area Lexus Dealers, Callaway, Hampton Golf, Montoya Benefits Group, Pepsi, PGA Tour, Town & Country Insurance, Underwood’s and Waste Management. Individuals can sign up for $1,750 and four-person teams can sign up for $7,000, which includes pairing with a celebrity golfer, a complimentary team practice round and a Pairing Party, to take place on Mon., Dec. 9, as well as a deluxe gift package for each player.
