Can you smell the cotton candy? The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair is underway!

The fair, which opened Wednesday, is the place to enjoy more than 50 thrilling rides, livestock shows, concerts, a cooking contest and more. The fair runs through Sunday, Nov.16, at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds adjacent to EverBank Field.

Tonight’s specials include $20 unlimited mechanical rides and a concert by country duo Thompson Square beginning at 8 p.m. Gates are open from 5 to 11 p.m.

This year’s concert lineup also includes Scotty McCreery of American Idol fame and former Bad Company singer Brian Howe. Concerts are free with fair admission. VIP tickets are available for some shows for an additional $10.
