RiverTown Hosts British Car Classic and Fall Festival Oct. 21-22

RiverTown, a Mattamy Homes Community, is celebrating the fall season with two special events for residents and their families. The community will host a British Car Classic show on Saturday, Oct. 21, and a Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 22. The public is invited and welcome to attend both events.

“Our Classic Car show and Fall Festival are great events for families who enjoy spending time outdoors enjoying fun activities,” said Jason Sessions, VP, Land Acquisition and Development, Mattamy Homes. “RiverTown is a community known for healthy living and outdoor activities. MBF Champions for Child Safety Pro Am Golf Tournament Raises $178,000 for The Monique Burr Foundation

More than $178,000 was raised at the recent MBF Champions for Child Safety Pro Am Golf Tournament presented by Lennar at The Palencia Club.

Along with tournament chair M.G. Orender and honorary chairs Fred Funk, Jim Furyk and Mark McCumber, the annual tournament benefitting the Monique Burr Foundation for Children, Inc. offered corporate teams and individuals the opportunity to golf for a good cause with professional golfers. An additional 25 professionals participated in the tournament. They were paired with amateur teams at THE PGA TOUR and The Kearney Companies Pairings Party the night before the tournament. This year’s tournament also included a $1 Million Shoot-Out, six Hole-in-One contests and a Pre-Event Putting Contest. [Read more →]

State, Federal Disaster Loans Activated to Aid Businesses Impacted by Hurricane Irma

Florida businesses impacted by Hurricane Irma may now apply for various state and federal disaster loan programs. As a principal responder in the state’s Emergency Support Function for Business and Industry, the Florida SBDC Network stands ready to assist businesses with disaster loan applications and with other post-disaster challenges.

Governor Scott has activated the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program to provide short-term, interest-free loans to businesses damaged by the storm. [Read more →]

The 2017-2018 series opens Nov. 8 with distinguished journalist Tom Brokaw. On Jan 16, 2018, Theo Epstein, a baseball executive with the Chicago Cubs, will speak.
