Private venues for THE PLAYERS 2013 selling quickly

November 13th, 2012 · Leave a Comment

THE PLAYERS Championship is definitely ahead of the game – and not just in golf. According to Executive Director Matt Rapp, a significant portion of the private corporate viewing venues for next year’s tournament have been reserved. THE PLAYERS is set to return to THE PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass May 6-12, 2013. With venue sales in the past reaching their peak around March, this marks the earliest that the tournament has experienced this level of corporate commitment.

“The momentum from the past tournament is strong, and we have seen substantial growth in corporate interest for 2013,” said Rapp. “While several of the private venues are already committed, there is still inventory available in many areas. Certainly if a business is interested, now is the time to let us know.  We’re excited about all THE PLAYERS has to offer our fans and corporate clients in 2013, including an improved parking and traffic plan, enhanced venues and more to experience outside the ropes. It’s going to be a great week for THE PLAYERS and this community.”

THE PLAYERS has added a number of additional areas and features for corporate groups and fans in the last several years. The private sections on the last three holes have been extremely popular viewing areas, and they are typically the first to be sold. The Benefactor and Turn chalets are also filling up quickly.

“We can ensure the best pricing and guaranteed spots if companies engage before Dec. 3,” said PGA TOUR Director of Sales and Marketing Jared Rice. “We are also bringing back the Benefactor Golf Tournament, to be held on the Stadium Course Dec. 12 for all Benefactor account holders who sign by that deadline.”
