Relationships with Real Estate Professionals is Only One Factor to Palencia’s Success

August 20th, 2013 · Leave a Comment

The community of Palencia, with its exquisite master-planned grounds, prestigious private golf club and stunning natural areas is one of the premier addresses in Northeast Florida. Palencia also has an outstanding reputation for working well with real estate professionals, and its relationship with area realtors has been one key to the community’s success.

Jacksonville Realtor Judy Hicks has been bringing satisfied clients to Palencia since the community opened in 2001. Though Palencia’s amenities make it an easy sell for interested homebuyers, Hicks credits the community’s Director of Sales Naomi Lumley and Broker Associate Pud English for creating an ideal sales environment.

“One of the best parts of bringing a buyer to Palencia is Naomi and Pud. They are a fabulous team, and their knowledge is immense,” said Hicks, who celebrates her 20th year selling Northeast Florida real estate this month. “I have known Naomi for more than 25 years, since before she came to Palencia, and she is so gracious and kind. The entire team at Palencia has tenacity and knowledge, and the trust and integrity that starts at the sales center is reflected in the community as a whole.”

Hicks said her clients are not only impressed with the variety and quality of the homes at Palencia, but they also are sold on all the community has to offer.

“When they fall in love with Palencia, they fall in love with the golf course, clubhouse, parks and its overall beauty,” Hicks said. “When I bring clients there, I sit quietly and let Naomi and Pud sell the community. I trust them with my buyers, and they have true enthusiasm and passion for their product.”

Palencia was developed by private real estate company Hines, after the company saw a vision for a vibrant community woven into the natural beauty of the west bank of Florida’s Intracoastal Waterway. Palencia’s focus on environmental integrity, with eight miles of paths and walks connecting residents to natural areas and marshes of the Tolomato River and 300 acres of conservation land, stems from Hines’ long-term strategy to be a global leader in sustainable development.

Palencia is anchored by a 40-acre Village Center and The Palencia Club, with 33,000 square-feet of dining, shopping and banquet facilities. In addition to an Arthur Hills-designed championship golf course, tennis, swimming, fitness and sports fields, the community has a complete network of neighborhood parks that enrich social opportunities for residents.

Palencia is located within the St. Johns County School District, which features excellent A-rated schools including Palencia Elementary located within the community. The community is a short drive from the beaches, shopping, historic St. Augustine and downtown Jacksonville.
