The work of Sisler Johnston Interior Design is showcased in the recently completed renovation of the oceanfront Florida and Georgia Guest Houses at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. The $2.6 million renovation project included enhancements to 30 oceanfront guest rooms and suites including furnishings, wallcoverings, window treatments, carpeting, countertops, lighting, decorative hardware, décor and artwork.

“The redesign brings a fresh and luxurious ambiance to the Florida and Georgia Guest Houses at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, and is in keeping with the resort’s Five-Diamond level of service,” said Judith Sisler Johnston, president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design and allied member, ASID.

The prestigious AAA Five-Diamond designation is the American Automobile Association’s (AAA) highest rating for hotels and restaurants, and awarded to those that provide luxurious surroundings and deliver a superior level of guest services.

The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club’s Florida House and Georgia House new interiors are designed using a color palette of coral, citron and savory green. The guest rooms feature savory green patterned carpeting while the Presidential suites have hardwood flooring. Traditional patterned savory green draperies frame the new floor-to-ceiling windows and coral painted walls. The Coastal Mediterranean-style furnishings display distressed warm brown wood tones. All rooms and suites feature Wi-Fi, iPad and iPod charging stations, 42-inch flat screen televisions and safes designed to protect laptop computers. Original photographic art by Northeast Florida artist Ted Johnson depicts relaxing ocean, sunrise and sunset landscapes.

The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club redesign project provided a unique learning experience for Pamela Rodgers, a student at the Art Institute of Jacksonville, who assisted members of Sisler Johnston Interior Design with the installation of fabrics and furnishings at the Florida and Georgia Guest Houses.

Previously at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, Sisler Johnston Interior Design completed the installation of six premier oceanfront guest suites at the Florida and Georgia Houses. The firm has also completed the design of the Island House and the redesign of the Summer House, Atlantic House, Beach House, Ocean House and Peyton House. Sisler Johnston was the original interior designer of the Peyton House when it opened in 1986.
