Students Help Sisler Johnston Interior Design Complete New Model Home

December 17th, 2010 · Leave a Comment

One of the best ways to learn is by experience and Sisler Johnston Interior Design recently provided two students from Bartram Trail High School’s interior design program with a unique, hands-on learning opportunity.

The students assisted members of the Jacksonville interior design firm with the installation of the Sydney, the new Mattamy Homes model at The Colony at Greenbrier. The Sydney is a luxurious and elegant single-family model home featuring the latest in design trends and furnishings by Sisler Johnston Interior Design.

Judith Sisler Johnston, allied member, ASID, and president of Sisler Johnston Interior Design, enjoys the opportunity to help prepare tomorrow’s leaders in the interior design industry.

It is fascinating for students to see all of the steps in the interior design process come together at the job site for the project installation. Our firm enjoys working with Bartram Trail High School and is delighted to provide a real-life learning experience for its students.

Under the direction of Sisler Johnston Interior Design project coordinator Dawn Marie Arnold and business manager Darlene Linge, Bartram Trail High School students Emily Berlingo and Emily Stefanski assisted with the installation of fabrics, furnishings and accessories in the new Mattamy Homes’ model at The Colony at Greenbriar.

Linge serves on Bartram Trail High School’s Interior Design Career Academy advisory board. Sisler Johnston Interior Design also supports the program by providing the school with catalogs, fabrics and other industry materials to use in design projects.

The Sydney model by Mattamy Homes is beautiful! We encourage you to visit and see the work of Sisler Johnston Interior Design and the students from Bartram Trail High School’s Interior Design Career Academy!
