Summer Vacation Deals Bring New Visitors to Northeast Florida

July 9th, 2010 · Leave a Comment

In a recent press release, Visit Jacksonville lauded the success of its recent effort to increase visitor bookings through a special summer deal program. The “Summer Savings Sale” offered vacation deals of up to 50 percent off accommodations at area hotels between July 16-23 for travel by Aug. 31, 2010.  The special offer helped Visit Jacksonville sell 61 hotel room nights during that week.

Online bookings came from 11 U.S. states within the Southeast, Southwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, All areas of Jacksonville were represented, meaning that area dining/nightlife establishments, attractions and retailers will see a boost in business as well.  The sale was promoted predominately using Visit Jacksonville’s monthly consumer e-Newsletter and social media outlets such as Twitter, Facebook and the organization’s blog, UDontKnowJax.com.

It’s exciting to see organizations like Visit Jacksonville continue to find creative ways to get new visitors to the First Coast. Keep up the good work!
