Downtown Jacksonville is anticipated to be the next big growth spot for Northeast Florida. With revitalizing downtown as a top priority this year, the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce has launched a month-long advertising campaign to promote the 2011 Business Expo and downtown revitalization. “Starting or Growing a Business Downtown” is the focus of the expo scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.

Cornerstone and Northeast Florida Regional Council Awarded $200,000 EDA Grant to Study Future Jobs and Industries

In an effort to identify and promote Northeast Florida’s economic strengths and future workforce, the Cornerstone Regional Development Partnership, the economic development arm of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Northeast Florida Regional Council (NEFRC) were recently awarded a $200,000 grant by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to administer a targeted industry sub-cluster study and implementation plan.
