The Monique Burr Foundation for Children announces its annual “A Night in the Village” event with all proceeds benefiting the foundation. This year’s party and fundraiser will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, at Roy’s restaurant and participating businesses at Third Street Village in Jacksonville Beach.

Guests will be treated to a fashion show and delectable Hawaiian-fusion cuisine inspired by celebrity chef and restaurant founder Roy Yamaguchi. There will also be a silent auction featuring custom items, vacation stays and packages from local businesses.

In addition to a scrumptious dinner, guests will enjoy fine wines and tropical drinks throughout the evening while being entertained by hula dancing, fire dancing and live music. Participating shops and restaurants at Third Street Village  include  Moe’s, Mrs. Howard, Max & Company, Emly Benham, Leila’s, Rosenblum’s, Focus Fitness, Starbuck’s, Bonefish Grill, Rosie True, Penelope T and Miriam’s, and they will have extended hours and provide exclusive shopping opportunities for guests of the event.

Advance tickets are recommended as the event has sold out in the past. Tickets are $75 per person and sales began March 28. More information about the event, ticket purchasing or donations is available online at www.moniqueburrfoundation.org or by calling Callie Criser at (904) 562-1844.
