The popularity of St. Johns County continues to grow. Not only is the county one of the fastest growing areas in Northeast Florida, it is one of the fastest growing areas in the state. Homebuyers are drawn to the quintessential Florida surroundings, the excellent schools, numerous year-round events, and its continuous ranking as the No. 1 healthiest county in Florida, according to the 2015 rankings by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

TrailMark, one of the most admired new communities in northern St. Johns County, is doing its part to insure that the county remains at the top by offering plenty of opportunities for homeowners to take advantage of the great outdoors.

Located near World Golf Village, TrailMark blends natural beauty with everyday living. With impressive oak tree hammocks, miles of biking and walking trails, waterways and lakes, the community incorporates nature-inspired amenities that complement the beauty of the natural environment.

“TrailMark presents the very best that Northeast Florida has to offer,” said GreenPointe Communities Vice President of Land Development Chris Kuhn. “Our community’s residents will enjoy a spectacular location, world-class amenities and exceptional quality homes. Combined with proximity to outstanding schools, employment centers, shopping, dining, entertainment and recreation destinations, TrailMark’s location simply cannot be beat. You’re off the beaten path, but in the center of it all.”

Home sales in St. Johns County are skyrocketing. The area’s admiration and growth is fueled by the St. Johns County School District, which has grown about 45 percent in the past 10 years. The St. Johns County School District ranks among the nation’s best, as cited by Forbes magazine and GreatSchools.org. According to the Florida Department of Education, St. Johns County School District is home to many of the state’s highest rated schools, most of which have been built since 2005. The district also has enjoyed low teacher turnover and top performing student rankings.

Which comes as no surprise that TrailMark is abuzz with interest and activity. Groundbreaking is set to begin this month on the amenities and Welcome Center. Both are anticipated to open in Summer 2016. The amenity center will feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, a free-form resort-style pool with beach entry and a variety of sports courts and playfields. The improvements will include the first phase of an expansive trail system, a recreational amenity that will connect residents to their community and the surrounding natural environment. Plans also call for the Camp House, a lakeside pavilion alongside a large central lake, providing residents an outdoor gathering place in the heart of the community.

“We are experiencing tremendous interest in TrailMark,” said GreenPointe Communities Marketing Director Gaynelle James. “Our amenities will be destinations within the community, great places for socializing with neighbors and gateways to lasting friendships.”

TrailMark will feature local and national builders with home designs ranging in size and style to meet the homebuyer’s lifestyle needs and interests. Homes are priced from the mid-$200,000s and up.

DR Horton Destin II Model

D.R. Horton recently opened the community’s first decorated model home, the Destin II. The model features an open, spacious floor plan with four bedrooms, four baths and an upstairs bonus room designed as a family hangout area. Additionally, D.R. Horton has several Quick Move-in homes under construction at TrailMark.

Landon Homes also is building at TrailMark. The company’s single-family, one- and two-story homes, ranging in size from 1,700 square feet to 3,791 square feet, will feature both traditional neighborhood and conservation area settings.
