August 8th, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Camellia at Deerwood, the premier senior lifestyle community located in Jacksonville’s Southside, is celebrating its one-year anniversary serving the needs of seniors desiring exceptional retirement living. Owned by The Carlyle Group and managed by Seattle-based Leisure Care, a One Eighty company, Camellia at Deerwood offers independent living services for seniors 62 and over. The community’s assisted living services are coming soon.

“We are very proud to celebrate this milestone after an outstanding first year,” said Camellia at Deerwood General Manager Perry Brown. “Our residents enjoy an incredible lifestyle with our signature brand of enhanced programs, services and amenities. We look forward to continued success and to creating a legacy of quality and service in Northeast Florida.”

Since Camellia at Deerwood opened in August 2012, the 185-unit senior living community’s occupancy rate has nearly doubled, rising from 19 percent occupancy to 37 percent occupancy in the past year.

Located near Interstate 295 and Baymeadows Road, Camellia at Deerwood features four floors of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartment homes in a resort-style environment offering convenient access to shopping and dining. Residents enjoy numerous services including restaurant-style dining, a PrimeFit fitness center, transportation and a full calendar of social, fun and meaningful programs and activities.

“We have an exceptional team that provides five-star service at Camellia at Deerwood,” Brown said. “Our residents enjoy the best that retirement living has to offer.”
