Camellia at Deerwood welcomes Amicha Kelly, R.N., in her role as Health and Wellness Director. Kelly will oversee the community’s new assisted living services program within its already established independent living community for seniors.

Kelly joins Camellia at Deerwood with more than 10 years of nursing experience including five years working in the senior living industry. She earned her nursing degree from St. Johns River State College.

In addition to Kelly, Camellia at Deerwood has added eight new team members to its professional staff to support the community’s new assisted living program. To offer assisted living services, Camellia at Deerwood completed a vigorous application and licensing process, which included state survey and regulatory compliance as well as advanced training for its staff and employees.

Under its new license, Camellia at Deerwood will have 61 of its 185 apartments dedicated for five-star assisted living services including medication management, bathing, dressing, daily living assistance and more.
