Cedar Bay Residents Embrace Multi-Generational Community

December 15th, 2014 · Leave a Comment

According to experts, one of the best factors in staying mentally alert and healthy is to spend time around people of all ages. At the North Jacksonville community of Cedar Bay, residents have ample opportunities to do just that. The neighborhood of Cedar Bay is beautifully diverse, with homeowners ranging from young families to established professionals to retirees.

“Cedar Bay is one of those unique communities that appeals to just about everyone,” said Margaret Jennesse, president of GreenPointe Homes’ East Florida Division. “The friendly nature of the neighborhood, combined with the fact that we have some of the most affordable riverfront living in the area, has made Cedar Bay desirable for residents from young to old.”

Cedar Bay sits on the scenic Broward River, with a popular community park and shaded areas overlooking the peaceful waterfront. GreenPointe Homes has recently released some of the community’s choicest river-view property, and there are currently three inventory homes available, as well as homesites on which homeowners can select and build from a number of floorplans.

“One of the main comments that I hear from buyers who tour Cedar Bay is the fantastic first impression that the community gives,” said Vicki Bratvold, president of GreenPointe Realty. “Not only is the community visually appealing, but our residents are active, involved, friendly and come from all walks of life. When we have community service projects or neighborhood gatherings, we have children and their parents mixing with empty nesters and retirees. The energy is great.”

GreenPointe Homes has just completed three inventory homes on the bank of the Broward River. They represent the company’s most popular floorplans – the Clover, the Emerald and the Forest. Based on price per square footage, these homes are some of the best deals on riverfront property anywhere in the Jacksonville area. Homes begin in the low $200,000s.

The residences range from just over 2,100 square feet to more than 2,700 square feet. The Clover has four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, plus a private office with French doors and a flexible loft space. The Emerald has four bedrooms, and three-and-a-half bathrooms with a loft and office. The Forest has three bedrooms and two-and-a half bathrooms with a flexible loft. All homes have a spacious covered lanai measuring 12 by 24 feet that takes advantage of stunning water views, and include a two-car garage.

Cedar Bay is one of the best communities in the North Jacksonville area, with convenient access to the River City Marketplace, the Jacksonville International Airport and nearby military bases. It is a short drive to many shopping and dining opportunities, as well as downtown Jacksonville and the area’s many entertainment venues.
