October 23rd, 2025 · Leave a Comment

As housing costs continue to be top of mind for citizens, the City of Jacksonville has released a new affordable housing transparency dashboard that tracks the development of below market rate housing, including workforce, affordable, and low-income housing units.

The dashboard details the developments, developers, and projected number of units to be completed each year. It shows the status of each development, from planning to construction to completion. The dashboard also demonstrates that affordable housing units are being built across the city, with an interactive map and breakdowns by neighborhood and City Council district. The data will be updated monthly with new additions in the future, including the inventory of single-family homes that are being built below market rate.

Workforce housing represents incomes that are 81% to 120% of the area median income (AMI), which the max income at 120% AMI is $86,160 a year for an individual, and $123,000 for a family of four. Affordable housing represents incomes that are between 31% to 80% AMI, which the max income at 80% AMI is $57,440 a year for an individual, and $82,000 for a family of four. Low-income housing represents 30% AMI or below, which the max income at 30% AMI is $21,540 a year for an individual, and $30,750 for a family of four.
