Florida’s second Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday for 2024 is underway, and runs through Sept. 6.
The sales tax holiday comes as the peak of storm season draws near. Florida’s Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie says the time to prepare is now. The hurricane season ends Nov. 30.
Items such as generators, carbon monoxide detectors, pet supplies, tarps, batteries, generators and flashlights are tax-free until Sept. 6. For a complete list, click here.
