HabiJax Announces New Board Members

Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville, Inc. (HabiJax) has named three new members to its Board of Directors. The new board members for the 2014-2015 year are Marsha Donaldson, Dante Ferguson and Ruth Owen.

Donaldson is the administrator for Baptist Primary Care, Inc., a 160 physician member group of Baptist Health. She works closely with physician and Baptist Health leadership in overseeing the day-to-day operation of more than 50 physician practices and implementing key health system strategies.

Ferguson is the director of operations for KIPP Jacksonville Schools. In his role, he has developed operational goals and managed them to an “overall operational effectiveness” rate of 80 percent or higher as measured by the organization. He actively works with the senior leadership team to manage major capital projects.

Owen is the senior vice president – Portfolio Credit Risk/Acquisitions/CRA Director at EverBank. Her duties include providing credit and portfolio risk management, managing whole loan portfolio acquisitions and monitoring of the bank’s HELOC portfolio. She also serves as the Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act Officer.

The HabiJax Board of Directors is made up of a diverse spectrum of local citizens who are tasked with promoting the organization’s mission and vision, advocating for affordable housing and providing exceptional governance.
