The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of North Florida (CFF) has hired Jim McCarthy as executive director for the organization. McCarthy has more than 30 years of experience in management, business development, fundraising, public relations and government affairs. As executive director, he will lead the organization’s efforts devoted to controlling and curing cystic fibrosis (CF) through fundraising and awareness in North Florida.

JAX Chamber and JAXUSA Partnership “All In,” Hosting Jaguars Kickoff Luncheon Aug. 29

The JAX Chamber and JAXUSA Partnership are going “all in” for the 4th annual Jaguars Kickoff luncheon. The luncheon is scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Guests include Jaguars Owner Shad Khan, Coach Mike Mularkey, the Jacksonville Jaguars football team and coaching staff, the ROAR cheerleaders and Jaxson DeVille. The luncheon provides a preview of the 2012 football season and celebrates the Jaguars’ economic impact on the region.
