Florida is one of 16 states hosting a Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday, making it possible to purchase some clothing, footwear and school supplies tax-free.
The sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6.
During this time, consumers in the state of Florida may purchase the following items tax-free:
- Clothing and footwear that cost $60 or less per article
- School supplies costing $15 or less per article
- Computers, software and computer supplies costing $750 or less per item
