August 7th, 2018 · Leave a Comment

The Vestcor Family Foundation recently announced that its 23rd Annual Charity Run, held on July 21, raised $35,550 to help fund local non-profits.

The event, which included free food and beer, live music, raffle prizes, and finisher medals, drew 600 runners.

The race started and ended in front of the Lofts at LaVilla, Vestcor’s first of three communities in the LaVilla area. Lofts at Monroe is under construction and Lofts at Jefferson Station will break ground in August.

In all, Vestcor has acquired upwards of 14,000 multifamily units, including retirement, affordable, luxury and student apartment complexes.

Last year, charities such as UF Health Jacksonville, Community Hospice, North Florida School, and Tiger Academy received donations. The Vestcor Family Foundation will maintain their support of local educational and children-focused non-profit organizations throughout the coming years.
