Amelia River Cruises, Northeast Florida’s historic and wildlife sightseeing boat tour operator, announces time is running out to enjoy its Eco-Shrimping Tours with an onboard marine biologist.  The last day the Eco-Shrimping Tours with Marine Biologist Andrea Margiotta will be offered is Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012.

Interested passengers are encouraged to book now to take advantage of this unique tour offering guests the opportunity to drag an authentic Otter Trawl shrimp net used in commercial shrimping today, then view as the catch is brought onboard and explained by an onboard marine biologist. The catch is then released back into the wild.

The Eco-Shrimping tours are $26 for adults and $16 for children 12 and under plus 7 percent sales tax. Through Aug. 7, the tours are offered Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling (904) 261-9972.

Amelia River Cruises will continue to operate its daily narrated, historic and wildlife sightseeing tours, but don’t miss out on the chance to enjoy the unique Eco-Shrimping tour with Marine Biologist Andrea Margiotta!
