Here is news about a great event for a great cause! Amelia River Cruises will host “Cruising for a New Cause,” a fundraising event to benefit The Rotary Club’s Canaan Orphanage Project in Haiti.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27, aboard the Amelia River Cruises Sunset Cruise. The public is welcome to attend.

“The Rotary’s Northeast Florida Haiti international service project supports improvements in water quality, literacy, vocational service, malnutrition, and children’s health, all in one project,” said Captain Kevin McCarthy, Amelia River Cruises captain and owner. “This fundraising event offers an amazing opportunity to enjoy a beautiful cruise and network with Northeast Florida business leaders and professionals while helping to raise funds for a wonderful cause.”

Tickets are $50 per person, which includes a box meal from Sonny’s Bar-B-Q, and $25 of each ticket sold will go to the Haiti project. Tickets may be purchased online at www.ameliarivercruises.com. We hope to see you there!
