American Electrical Contracting has opened its new headquarters at 9016 Philips Highway.

American Electrical Contracting is one of Jacksonville’s largest electrical contractors and has grown exponentially since its founding 21 years ago. The company purchased the existing property for $3.4 million in March 2021 and undertook an extensive renovation of the property.

The headquarters property includes a total of 20,500 square feet in three buildings on 3.4 acres with office space, warehouse, crew fitness center and locker rooms, and parking/controlled storage. The facility is double the size of the company’s previous location on Old St. Augustine Road. Approximately 30 employees work at the headquarters to support its 130 field crew employees.

American Electrical Contracting has 160 employees and the largest number of master electricians on its staff than any other electrical contractor in Northeast Florida. The company is based in Jacksonville and is privately held and performs work for all levels of projects from single family homes to large-scale new construction commercial and industrial projects. American Electrical Contracting is well known for its Jacksonville work including the installation of one of the largest scoreboards in the NFL at TIAA Bank Field for the Jacksonville Jaguars, completion of the JTA Transportation Hub and other projects for universities, hospitals and large-scale manufacturers.

American Electrical Contracting performs work across Florida and the Southeast and is making expansion plans for offices in Orlando, Tampa, and Savannah, Georgia. In addition, the company will make additional improvements and renovations to its new Jacksonville headquarters in 2021 and beyond including the new addition of American Electrical Academy, a pre-apprenticeship training center.
