About the Monique Burr Foundation for Children

The Monique Burr Foundation for Children, Inc., started by Edward E. Burr, President and CEO of GreenPointe Holdings, is a nonprofit organization with a mission to make a positive impact on the community at large, to create change in a family’s life for the better and to give hope in the life of a child by providing prevention education relevant to issues facing children today. MBF Child Safety MattersTM is a research-based, primary prevention education program, designed to educate and empower elementary students and all relevant adults with information and strategies to prevent bullying, cyberbullying, digital abuse and all forms of child abuse and exploitation. As of the end of this school year, MBF Child Safety MattersTM has reached more than 650,000 elementary students across Florida and the foundation has trained more than 1,300 facilitators to implement the program.  MBF Child Safety MattersTM has been approved in 54 out of 67 counties in Florida. The program is made possible through donations, which is the foundation’s greatest need, so that every child in every elementary school throughout the state of Florida can receive this safety training at no cost to the public elementary school.

MBF Child Safety MattersTM is in the process of expanding statewide as a collaborative effort with the Florida Governor’s Office, the Florida Department of Education and the Florida Department of Children & Families.
