More than 100 special guests recently attended the Tapas & Tours II luncheon and community tour at Beacon Lake, the popular lakefront lifestyle community in northern St. Johns County.

An award-winning event, the Tapas & Tours luncheon set the course for guests to tour the community’s new Lake House Amenity and Fitness Center and five beautifully decorated model homes. At Beacon Lake, Dream Finders Homes and Mattamy Homes are building coastal-inspired homes featuring welcoming front porches and open floor plans.

The progressive gourmet tapas luncheon began with hors d’oeuvres at the Lake House and continued with small plates in the Mattamy and Dream Finders’ model homes showcasing the latest in home design trends. Guests enjoyed complimentary shuttle services, giveaways and prize drawings.

“We were thrilled to once again welcome a record number of guests to our special event and we appreciate the positive comments we received,” said Bruce J. Parker, Managing Director for BBX Capital Real Estate, Beacon Lake’s master developer. “With our Lake House and resort-style lakefront amenities, award-winning home designs and a welcoming neighborhood environment, homebuyers are discovering there is so much to love at Beacon Lake.”

The magnificent Lake House is the heart of the Beacon Lake community. Anchored by a developing 43-acre paddle-friendly lake and nestled within 358 acres of nature preserve, the 8,200-square-foot Lake House is a gathering place for entertainment and get-togethers as well as a place for fitness and relaxation. The Lake House includes a state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio and strength training equipment, free weights, spin bikes and a fitness studio. The Culinary Studio and Demonstration kitchen is available for catered events and certain to delight foodies who enjoy cooking classes and chef demonstrations.

Outside, there are opportunities to cool off at the Splash Park, fun pool, junior Olympic swimming pool, or lakeside sand beach. Rent a kayak or canoe at the Crew House and explore the peaceful, natural beauty of Beacon Lake. Hit the tennis courts, kick around a soccer ball or play catch on the multipurpose playing field. A bark park offers furry residents and their owners a place to exercise, socialize and play. Enjoy watching the little ones swing, climb and slide on the pirate ship-themed playground. Stroll or bike miles of multipurpose paths and take a break at one of the thoughtfully-placed neighborhood stop-a-whiles to enjoy the community’s natural surroundings. Beacon Lake was carefully planned to feel intimate and friendly, making it an excellent place to live and raise a family.
