Builders Care Performs Extreme Home Make-Over

November 9th, 2011 · Leave a Comment

Builders Care, the charitable arm of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA), recently presented the keys to a completely restored, furnished and decorated home to Inez Green, 82, who lost everything when her North Jacksonville home of 50-plus years was severely damaged in a fire last May.

A retired elementary school cafeteria supervisor, Green had been spending her days sitting on the front porch of her burned-out home since the fire. Builder Frank Crumley of Overstreet and Associates learned of her situation and contacted Builders Care to ask for support to help rebuild the home. A multitude of trades and professionals volunteered their time and talents while local companies provided all of the products and materials to completely rebuild the house and bring Green back home.

Numerous companies supported the Builders Care project to rebuild Green’s home including Overstreet & Associates, Kirk’s Framing, Inc., Providence Homes and Sisler Johnston Interior Design.

Mrs. Green is so thankful to all who participated in this project. WhatsUpJacksonville.com appreciates the work of Builders Care, which works to better the lives of so many in our community.
