CarbuX Car Wash Grand Opening Event Raises $5,000 For The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation North Florida

June 2nd, 2011 · Leave a Comment

It was more than just a grand opening for CarbuX Car Wash and its new Beach Boulevard location. Along with the excitement of opening its third Jacksonville location, this grand opening also raised an incredible $5,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) of North Florida, the leading organization devoted to curing and controlling cystic fibrosis (CF), a life shortening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system causing serious complications.

CarbuX Car Wash, a local, family-owned automated car wash offered every customer a free car wash with an optional donation of $5 or $10 (regular price $15) during the opening. The proceeds were donated to the North Florida Chapter of CFF.

“Our original goal was to raise more than $2,500 for cystic fibrosis research through this initiative,” said Andrew Jaffa, co-owner of CarbuX Car Wash along with his father Jimmy. “We are thrilled to have doubled that original goal, and that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will benefit from the much-needed funds and increased awareness.”

CarbuX Car Wash has been committed to giving back to the community through its long-standing FUNdraising program, which has raised more than $40,000 for hundreds of local nonprofits since its inception in 2007.
