The Monique Burr Foundation for Children (MBF) is hosting the first annual Champions for Child Safety Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 at the University of North Florida. Champions of Child Safety will be recognized and child safety prevention issues will be discussed. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.; Luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m.
Erin Merryn, keynote speaker
The luncheon’s keynote speaker will be Erin Merryn. Merryn is the author of Stolen Innocence, Living for Today and An Unimaginable Act. She is also a proponent of Erin’s Law which mandates age-appropriate curriculum for children on personal body safety. Her advocacy has led to a version of Erin’s Law being passed in 26 states and another 20 states are considering a proposed law. For more information: www.erinslaw.org.
