Situated on the banks of the St. Johns River, Clay County has become one of the top destinations for homebuyers in Northeast Florida. The county, which includes the vibrant suburban communities of Fleming Island and Orange Park, is surrounded by magnificent natural beauty and offers an exceptional quality of life.

“Clay County is a very appealing place to live and raise a family,” said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty Founder, President and CEO Linda Sherrer. “The county has experienced tremendous population growth, including a younger, more affluent demographic, that is outpacing other areas in Northeast Florida.”

With a population of more than 200,000 people, Clay County has the second-highest household income in the region. In addition to an outstanding selection of homes, buyers are drawn to the area’s quick access to big-city amenities and A-rated public schools. The county has great appeal to those who love nature and the outdoors.

“Clay County is home to some of the region’s top golf courses, public parks, and walking and bicycling trails,” said Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty Broker/Executive Vice President Christy Budnick. “With 46 square miles of lakes and rivers, Clay County provides endless opportunities for enjoying boating, fishing, canoeing and kayaking.”

The demand for homes in Clay County is strong. In the Fleming Island area, the Northeast Florida Multiple Listing Service (MLS) reports new listings have increased more than 22 percent in June 2016 in year over year results. During the same time period, the inventory of homes for sale fell nearly 10 percent.

“Homes are selling at a faster rate than the number of new homes coming to the market,” said Linda Benson, Broker/Manager of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty’s Fleming Island office. “We continue to experience listings selling very quickly with many homes going under contract within days of going on the market.”

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ Fleming Island full service real estate office is located on Highway 17 between Interstate 295 and County Road 220. The office is home to many of the area’s most successful agents who deliver an exceptional client experience and the most positive real estate results.  Connect with the best by calling (904) 269-1716 or visit www.FloridaNetworkRealty.com.
