Wondering what to do this holiday season? Check out these fun events happening in your very own backyard! Join your Jacksonville family and celebrate the holidays together!

26th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Lights, camera…more lights! Jacksonville continues the tradition of shedding light on Northeast Florida with the 26th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 along the downtown Riverfront.

The 56-foot-tall energy-efficient artificial tree, decorated with over 78,000 L.E.D. lights and more than 240 ornaments, will light up Downtown during this annual ceremony. The evening will conclude with a large fireworks display on the St Johns River.

Jacksonville Light Parade

Thanksgiving weekend would not be complete without the Jacksonville Light Parade along the Downtown Riverfront.  This year’s parade will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24.

Each year, more than 200,000 people line the banks of the St. Johns River to celebrate the holiday season.  Seafarers and landlubbers of all ages are sure to be dazzled by the area’s largest lighted boat parade.

The parade can be seen from both sides of the downtown riverfront.  Following the boat parade, there will be a fireworks display.

Synchronized Nightly Tree Light Shows

Have you seen? Have you heard? The Landing’s 56-foot-tree comes alive each evening performing a 10-minute synchronized light show with more than 78,000 twinkling lights. The light shows take place every hour, on the hour Sunday through Thursday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to midnight.
