Community First Credit Union, a state-chartered credit union serving more than 105,000 members on the First Coast, announces the launch of Mobile Deposits through its Mobile Banking platform. Members can now deposit checks, view the status of deposits and review mobile deposit history from anywhere using a smartphone with camera. Community First is currently the only locally-based financial institution in Northeast Florida offering this service.

“Community First constantly strives to provide members with quality products and innovative services that embrace technology and help to make their lives easier,” said John Hirabayashi, president and CEO of Community First. “We are extremely pleased with the response to this new service from our members, who have been eager to engage in the program.”

Mobile Deposits is a free service for Community First members who have an active checking account with Community First with current email address on file, and have been actively using Mobile Banking for at least 45 days. Members must also have an Android or iPhone that meets the minimum mobile phone requirements for downloading the free app.
