Junior Achievement of North Florida is the beneficiary of a fundraiser hosted by Deutsche Bank to support JA programs during Financial Literacy Month. More than 100 Deutsche Bank employees participated in the event and helped raise $25,000 for the nonprofit organization, exceeding their fundraising goal.

“Deutsche Bank and its employees are amazing partners, and we are so grateful for their support,” said Shannon Italia, president of JA of North Florida. “It was nice to see the comradery between the employees and feel the energy of the event. Not only did they host this fundraiser for us which will help support our programs, but they also volunteer with us regularly and serve as classroom volunteers to help teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness to children and teens on the First Coast.”

The employees from Deutsche Bank’s NextGen Network and Sports & Wellness employee groups spent months fundraising across 16 teams, made up of 102 Deutsche Bank employees.

A recent survey released by JA shows the majority of high school students are worried about their financial futures, highlighting the need for additional resources, like the programs JA provides. Partnerships with companies like Deutsche Bank make it possible for JA of North Florida to deliver these much-needed programs to local youth.
