Donations Needed at St. Francis House in St. Augustine

July 27th, 2017 · Leave a Comment

The St. Francis House in St. Augustine is experiencing a food supply shortage and is in need of help to keep its food pantry in operation.

The nonprofit organization’s food pantry offers food boxes and hot meals. Last year, the pantry provided 7,000 food boxes to local families as well as the ingredients for St. Francis House’s free lunch program. The organization provides approximately 1,148 meals per week.

To continue these services, the St. Francis House needs donations including:

  • Fresh produce to be used in meals that are prepared and served at the house
  • Cereal
  • Canned goods such as meats, soups, fruit and beans
  • Ready-to-eat foods such as ravioli, pasta, mac and cheese

Other needed items include:

  • Bug spray
  • Masking tape
  • Ziplock bags (different sizes)

This charity, located at 70 Washington St. in St. Augustine, is open daily. Donations may be delivered at any time. Visit the St. Francis House Facebook page for more information.
