Downtown Day is a new virtual celebration of all things Downtown Jacksonville.

Promoted by Downtown Vision (DVI), the non-profit Business Improvement District for DTJax, Downtown Day will raise online awareness for all the initiatives, shops, amenities, venues and places Downtown. This Downtown Day, DVI is celebrating the impact of our Downtown Ambassadors and fundraising for a new vehicle for the team.

Downtown Day is Dec. 11, 2020. The fundraiser will remain open through Dec. 31, 2020.

As part of this virtual celebration, Downtown Vision invites the community to celebrate Downtown on Instagram @DTJax, Twitter @DTJax, and Facebook @DTJax. Users can follow @DTJax to see posts from local influencers about why they love Downtown Jacksonville, enjoy photos and videos of Downtown hidden gems as well as participate in a photo competition to earn a $50 #DTJax e-Gift Card.

To participate, users are encouraged to share their favorite photos of DTJax with a caption about why they love Downtown or why they appreciate the Downtown Ambassadors. Six participants will be randomly chosen to win a $50 #DTJax e-Gift Card. Posts must include #DTJaxDay, #ThankYouAmbassadors and must tag @DTJax.

Downtown Vision is hoping to raise $25,000 to invest in a pickup truck to transport Ambassadors and equipment more efficiently across its 90-block district. All fundraiser contributions will go toward the Downtown Ambassador program for a service vehicle and needed supplies. The first $25,000 raised will be matched dollar for dollar by a local anonymous donor. Individual donations must be $500 or less to qualify for the match.
