July 21st, 2020 · Leave a Comment

Downtown Vision has announced the new #DTJax e-Gift Card, a Downtown-based digital gift card that makes it easy to keep local spending local.

The #DTJax e-Gift Cards can be purchased at dtjaxegiftcard.com.

Recipients can redeem the e-gift card at more than two dozen Downtown businesses, including restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment venues. E-gift cards can be used multiple times and multiple participating locations. The e-gift card and balance are always available on the recipient’s smartphone.

E-gift cards can be purchased for any amount between $5 and $250. To celebrate the launch, Downtown Vision is offering the following bonus gifts:

  • Buy a $25 Gift Card, receive a $5 bonus gift
  • Buy a $50 Gift Card, receive a $10 bonus gift
  • Buy a $100 Gift Card, receive a $20 bonus gift
  • But a $200 Gift Card, receive a $50 bonus gift (best value)

Additionally, Downtown Vision will cover the first $1,000 in e-Delivery fees on all e-gift card purchases.

The #DTJax e-Gift Card not only makes shopping easy at Downtown’s local businesses, it keeps money in the community, creates jobs and helps make Downtown a more vibrant place. According to the American Independent Business Alliance, 48 percent of each purchase at local independent businesses was recirculated locally, compared to less than 14 percent of purchases at chain stores.

“Local businesses are the heart of Downtown and great for our local economy” said Jake Gordon, Downtown Vision CEO. “Unfortunately, today we’re seeing less than half of the average daily visits we saw in Downtown pre-Covid. Now more than ever, this program is an important way to support our businesses and to give back to the Downtown community.”
