Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL) announced the expansion of its executive leadership team, bringing on Kerrie Slattery as the nonprofit food bank’s first Chief Development Officer.

Slattery brings more than 15 years of nonprofit leadership experience to the new role. Her responsibilities include strengthening and expanding the organization’s fundraising strategies, securing financial support for the food bank’s growth and guiding all fundraising programs and services.

Prior to joining the FNEFL team, Slattery served the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens as Chief Advancement Officer, as well as Interim Director in 2020.

Earlier in her career, she also served as the Chief Development Officer and Vice President of the Baptist Health Foundation, which supports the community-based Baptist Health system. Most notably, Slattery led the development team for Wolfson Children’s Hospital during the comprehensive campaign that raised close to $100 million. Additional career highlights include leadership roles in corporate banking and technology; founding Foster Hope, a volunteer nonprofit organization that raised funds for foster children in Northeast Florida; and serving as Executive Director for Art with a Heart for Children.

In her new role as Chief Development Officer at Feeding Northeast Florida, Slattery will aid leadership in identifying opportunities to secure philanthropic support to serve the food bank’s eight-county region, including many innovative programs planned for the next few years.
