First Coast Blessings in a Backpack announces the appointment of its Board of Directors, officers and Emeritus board members for 2018.

The 2018 First Coast Blessings in a Backpack Board Members are:

  • Christine Reitz, Regions Bank Chairwoman of the Board
  • Joy Bardin, Jax Refrigeration Vice Chairman
  • Dorothy Williams, Publix Super Markets, Secretary
  • Rohan Bhargava, UF Student
  • Myrna Brannon, Realtor, Berkshire Hathaway Home Service Florida
  • Martin Buckley, Owner, Palm Beach Autographs
  • Katie Cox, JAX Sports Council
  • Wyatt Haynes, UPS
  • Kristine Phillips, Phillips Broadcasting LLC
  • Sean Stenson, Route4ME

“Welcome to our new Board members – we are looking forward to their fresh thoughts and ideas for Blessings in a Backpack programs and activities, including our upcoming National Mayor’s Day events,” said Kimberly Martinez-Ward, Managing Director.

The Emeritus Board includes:

  • Tabitha Furyk, Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation
  • Robin Braddock, SERVPRO of St. Augustine, Beaches & Mandarin
  • Nikki Kimbleton, WJXT, NewsJax4
  • Bill Myers, CEO PRM Corporation

First Coast Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry.  First Coast Blessings in a Backpack currently provides 873,240 hunger-free weekend meals, to 3,800 children in Duval and St. Johns counties.
